Case Study: Kudo

Kudo Property is a platform where investors can view listings of various properties and invest in them as per their budget by buying shares. Kudo believes that investment is for everyone and anyone can invest starting from as low as 1 To do that Kudo allows users to visit properties anywhere while getting detailed insights about the property, location, and projected annual values. Anyone can invest and get monthly returns from the rent according to the shares they have purchased.

Industry | RealEstate

Project Overview

The global real estate market size was valued at USD 3.69 trillion in 2021 and is expected to grow further at the compound annual growth rate of 5.2%. All these stats validate the potential of the real estate and property industry, and Kudo aims to leverage this opportunity by allowing anyone to invest in the property for as low as £1.

The application was built on the idea of revolutionizing the property investment industry and for that Xeltec implemented several APIs to allow scalable functionality and live data fetching of the properties. While developing the application Xeltec integrated the backend with the frontend along with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for maximum efficiency and scalability.

Real estate is a delicate domain which demands attention to detail. Engineers at Xeltec made sure that Kudo is compliant with government regulations while ensuring that the user gets all the latest features and complex data calculated with minimal latency

Key Findings

Documenting Technical Gaps

Engineers at Xeltec discovered intricate codes and data structures that required refining for improved reliability and scalability.

We identified technical and functional gaps in the product through the documentation process, forming the basis for targeted enhancements and optimizations.

Problem Statement

During the journey, Xeltec faced the following challenges;

01

Integration for editing and creating functionality

Integrating and syncing both the front end and back end at the same time was a challenge we faced during the development of the application.

02

Silverlite Framework

At the time Xeltec started working on it, Kudo was based on complex codes which along with the lack of proper documentation posed challenges in developing a reliable and scalable application.

Implemented Solution

For the above-mentioned problems, Xeltec implemented the following solutions:

Multiple APIs for Auto Data Fetch

Multiple APIs for financial details, images and property details were utilized to fetch the data from different sources automatically. This allows both the front end and back end to work in sync while fetching real-time data automatically through the integrated APIs.

Migration From Reach to Next JS

Since the web deals with real-time calculations and complex data, we migrated from React to Next js for faster processing speeds and fast rendering. This complemented the above solution and resulted in a premium user experience for the end users.

Results

Xeltec’s implementation of multiple APIs and migration to Next.js resulted in a reliable and scalable Kudo Property platform. Complex codes were refined through careful documentation, improving application performance. By syncing the front end with the backend Kudo was able to fetch the data and insights about the property in real-time which enhanced the user experience and reliability of the platform.

With the proper software support, Xeltec overcame all challenges faced while improving the UI of the application. This resulted in a platform with the right set of features and insight coupled with a fast and responsive webpage that revolutionizes how users foresee real estate and property investment.
