Valubl is a social network for people with unique interests. On Valubl, people can connect based on their interests, collections and displays inspired by things they are most passionate about for example, there are communities for books, holidays, clothes, bobbleheads, legos, stamps etc.

Problem Statement

The client not only wanted to build a website to help market his business but also wanted to make a social media platform where collectors can meet people like themselves and display what intrigues them the most. The key challenges they were facing were the following:

  • They wanted to build a platform targeting very specific audience
  • They also needed a website to market their existence and attract customers.
  • They needed someone with expertise in building social platforms with categories
  • They needed a platform where people can comment, share and connect with people with similar interests
  • They not only needed a platform for the customers, they also wanted to build a platform for the administration to hand

Possible Solution

The client came to us to build a platform/s from scratch so they opted for our fixed price services. After discussion, we provided them with the following solutions:

A WordPress Website

For starters we build a wordpress website for them on PHP to market their brand and attract potential customers to login and participate in their category of interest. We added multiple categories on the website from where the customer can login.

A web Application/ Social media platform

Once the customer chooses his/her categories, they are redirected to a webapp that we built from scratch. The newsfeed of the webapp was built on ReactJS because live rendering was needed in the newsfeed. If we did that in PHP, it would have been difficult for end-users because they would have to refresh time and again.

Third Party Integrations

They also needed a platform for user management and data analysis so we built a super admin portal for them in which the owner can view stats & customer reports via dashboard.

Ongoing Support

Currently, our focus is on maintaining Lightpoint’s systems, scoping new features, developing enhancements, and supporting data-driven business decisions.

Future Plans

Since people prefer using mobile apps more, especially for social media, the client is looking forward to building a mobile app as well. This would help him reach more customers.
